The Oberhausen CDU visits the GMVA.
As part of its summer program, the Oberhausen CDU visited us together with interested citizens to take a look behind the scenes.
During the tour, the participants learned that waste incineration produces electricity and heat, which is fed into the Oberhausen district heating network, for example. This form of energy utilization from waste can save fossil fuels such as coal, oil or natural gas. In this way, we are able to generate energy from conventional waste.
“The GMVA’s focus on conserving natural resources is undoubtedly particularly exciting and sustainable,” explains Frank Bandel, environmental policy spokesman for the CDU parliamentary group. “The potential for innovative solutions for the sustainable use of resources is huge. We are delighted that GMVA is constantly searching for even better solutions. A process that we are happy to continue to support,” concludes Bandel.
